Students' Stories
Overview
Objective
Students can choose amongst 15 stories written by pupils and narrated in three distinct English accents: Canadian, Australian, and Kenyan. This can be used as a further opportunity to practice fluency skills and expression in varying contexts.
Facilitation Tips
Students can read alone, in pairs or in small groups. Teachers can ask students to guess where they think the accent is from. Cross-curricular teaching and an opportunity to learn about other cultures and contexts are an important element of this activity.
