Writing (Typing)

Writing is a powerful tool for communicating our ideas, feelings, and thoughts. As children see how writing is used, they soon want to try it themselves. Children usually begin writing (often starting with scribbling) before they begin to read. Research shows that writing supports reading development and vice versa. When students write down their thoughts, using conventional or invented spelling, they are using skills that support reading and writing development.
